In Pezuela de las Torres, a nice village just 30 km far from Alcalá de Henares, this Saturday you can enjoy the 20th living nativity scene (Belén viviente), where you can trip back in time to the year zero.
On Saturday, December 7, from 4 pm You can access the backstage, see the preparations, chat with the actors, see the animals, warm up in the fires, visit the market, etc.
The performance will start at 6 pm, ending at 7:15 pm, It is free and no reservations required, but you should arrive early enough to park and be placed in the front row.
After the performance you will be able to approach the scenes to chat with the actors, make photos, submit letters to the Three Kings, take a closer look at the animals, etc.. and taste the porridge, crumbs, broth, bagels, etc.. that have been developed for the representation of nativity scene.
In 1994 it was performed the first living nativity scene in Pezuela de las Torres. The early years it was represented in private homes and garages. Beginning in 1998, the representation is now made by central streets of this village.
