The Guadalajara Institute of Architects came to our city in order to visit Parador of Alcalá, which remains being a reference as a building as well as an hotel.
The Parador de Turismo of Alcalá de Henares, was born as a project signed by the Madrilenian architects Aranguren & Gallegos, who designed a modern and innovative establishment in a historic and traditional environment.
The Parador received the Arquitectura Ciudad de Alcalá award in 2008, the World Heritage Cities Award for the recovery of the artistic heritage in 2009, and the Arpa Award for the intervention in the Artistic Heritage in 2010.
The Gran Hotel magazine also awarded the Parador as the Best Meetings and Conventions Hotel in Spain in 2011.
